Finally home! Wide eyed and
a little scared.
Hugging with mommy
She loves this bird toy. She's chewed
up the string for it a lot though
so my mom will have to fix it.
Playtime!
She has taken up all of my time the past day, and I was up every 2 hours last night because she would jump up on my lap on the couch or she would be messing around on the furniture. I am so glad that we could finally bring her home, and give her all the love she needs. She also loved to hide under the Christmas tree but we took that down today, so we put a little bench we have in front of the window where the tree was and put her bed there. She loves to look out the window and watch snow fall, and birds on the bird-feeder. There aren't really a lot of birds right now though since it's winter, but once spring comes she will go crazy!
Tomorrow will be a really fun day because it will be my sisters' birthday! They're twins, I think I've mentioned that. Their names are Erin and Elizabeth, or Libbie for short. We will have spice cake with cream cheese frosting. It is the most delicious cake you will ever taste, and it's made by my mom of course! Libbie's boyfriend Nate will come over and we can celebrate with him. He also gets to meet the cat which is really fun too. Then, on New Year's Eve, Nate and my grandparents will come over to celebrate with us. Usually we watch hockey but since there isn't any hockey on it will be really weird. We make pastys for dinner, and they are SO DELICIOUS. If you've never had one you need to go find where someone sells them, or better yet make them yourself!! My mom always brings home the 'ceremonial rutabaga' so that she can cook the pastys. Mmmmm.
A pasty. It makes my mouth water
just looking at it.
It also snowed today for the first time this winter!! I am so happy and excited, because I was really hoping it wouldn't be like last winter where it didn't snow until like February. But now there is a nice layer of snow on the ground, and hopefully it snows again so that it's snowy for Libbie and Erin's birthday and for New Year's Eve.
Thank you for reading, and have a lovely day!
